Pablo Picasso Dans L’atelier lithograph, from the book “Dans l’atelier de Picasso” by Jaime Sabartes, 1957. Printed on ivory, smooth, wove Arches paper. Picasso’s private secretary, Sabartès was also one of the artist’s closest friends, whom he knew from their childhood in Barcelona. This book was an introduction to the work and thought of Picasso, who personally chose among his works those reproduced there. The book included 6 original lithographs : 4 in colors + 2 in black (Mourlot 75, 78, 79, 269, 270, 279) and 30 color reproductions (printed in lithograph) of the artists works.
