Picasso Deuxieme Vallauris Lithograph

A poster design to which he gave great importance. The second of three designs, promoting the first exhibition of Picasso ceramics in Vallauris held between July 24th and 29th, 1948. Commissioned by the municipality of Vallauris in the south of France, where Picasso spent a great deal of time creating many of his own ceramics with Suzanne and Georges Ramié in the Madoura Pottery workshop. Printed by the masters at Atelier Mourlot, Paris.

This Picasso Deuxieme Vallauris lithograph depicts the rounded, cheerful face of a faun – another theme which Picasso echoed throughout his work, recalling the carefree times of Don Juanism.
