One of Picasso’s most successful advances came after starting work with Roger Lacourière in 1934. Among Picasso’s early experiments was the use of unusually large etching needles, referred to as burin etching/engraving, which he has used as the method in this collection of prints. This suite was printed by Lacourière and Crommelynck in Paris, 1949.
