Verner Panton Lamp
The Louis Poulsen Panthella table lamp was designed in 1971 by Verner Panton for Louis Poulsen.
The basic idea behind the Panthella table lamp was to design a lamp, whose base as well as shade is used as a reflector. The Panthella table lamp was designed in 1971 by Verner Panton for Louis Poulsen. The original draft has a diameter of 400 mm.
Verner Panton wanted the Panthella to have a metal lampshade, but in 1971 it was impossible to realise technologically. For this reason it can now be said that this is a world premiere, as the Panthella Mini is now available based on the original designs with a metallic lampshade. It’s painted white on the inside and directs light downwards, from where it is reflected by the trumpet foot upwards and into the room.
